PatientPoint is pleased to welcome back entrepreneur Mike Collette as our CEO. Mike founded PatientPoint and served as CEO until 2012, and has been chairman of the board for the past four years.
To say Mike has an entrepreneurial spirit would be a bit of an understatement. In addition to founding On Target Media and Healthy Advice Networks (the predecessors to what is now PatientPoint), Mike also serves as Executive-in-Residence at CincyTech, helping other entrepreneurs turn transformational ideas into high-growth technology companies.
It’s this passion for innovation that led Mike to return to lead the company he originally founded.
“Every person on the PatientPoint team is passionate not only about the business, but the meaningful impact our patient education programs have on patient lives,” Mike said. “With that kind of enthusiasm fueling the company, it was an easy decision for me to take the helm again to maintain the innovative, entrepreneurial culture PatientPoint has demonstrated for nearly 30 years now.”
Never one to rest on his laurels, Mike is already on the lookout for opportunities to partner with local and national innovators who have proven solutions that can improve the patient-physician dialogue.
“Being the leader of the point-of-care industry means continuing to look for new and improved ways to engage and educate patients,” Mike said. “Technology is changing constantly, which means we have to be a flexible and nimble organization.”
Lest you think Mike is all work and no play, he is the founder of the Indian Hill Winter Club, a privately funded 50,000-square-foot community ice rink and recreational facility in Cincinnati. He also helped start the Cincy Royals Lacrosse Club where he currently serves as president and director of coaching for its 12 boys and girls teams, and is an instructor of entrepreneurship at the Seven Hills School in Cincinnati.
But at the end of the day, Mike is focused on navigating PatientPoint at a time when the point-of-care industry is seeing tremendous growth through technological innovation.
“Our goal at PatientPoint is to help facilitate meaningful dialogue between patients and physicians,” Mike said. “Regardless of the point of care or point in time that a conversation takes place—in the exam room, over desktop or mobile device—we want to make sure we are strengthening the patient-physician relationship.”
Please join us in welcoming back our CEO, Mike Collette.
