PatientPoint Partners with the Arthritis Foundation to Deliver Educational Resources at the Point of Care
February 17, 2015
CINCINNATI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--PatientPoint®, the leader and innovator of patient and physician engagement solutions at the point of care, and the Arthritis Foundation, the nation’s trusted authority on arthritis, are working together to provide educational resources to the patients of more than 1,000 rheumatology physicians.
"Patients and their caregivers will benefit from convenient access to new arthritis-related content through PatientPoint’s national network of waiting room digital screens and exam room tablets," said Chris Martini, president of network solutions at PatientPoint. "This collaboration with the Arthritis Foundation will create more meaningful engagement between physicians and patients at the point of care, ultimately contributing to the overall wellness of patients suffering from arthritis."
Under the new partnership, PatientPoint will support rheumatology practices by offering millions of patients up-to-date information from the Arthritis Foundation, including directions for taking action in local communities, tools for disease management and tips for coping with symptoms of arthritis. "Our digital assets provide a high-touch, high-reach channel to extend the Arthritis Foundation’s knowledge, skills and resources to people with arthritis where they need it most to achieve better health," said Martini. "This collaboration also creates more opportunities for patients to engage directly with Arthritis Foundation programs and resources."
"The Arthritis Foundation is pleased to have PatientPoint as our newest media partner," said Cindy McDaniel, senior vice president of consumer health at the Arthritis Foundation. "Through this collaboration, we hope to further educate people with arthritis about ways they can engage with the Arthritis Foundation’s events, information, tools and resources."
Noting that there are more than 50 million Americans diagnosed with arthritis, Martini said the new alliance augments PatientPoint’s award-winning rheumatology patient education suite. "PatientPoint is committed to innovation and improvement," he said. "Our point of care education and engagement programs deliver health-education content that can be customized to the location level for precise targeting. By partnering with the Arthritis Foundation we are able to extend beyond the physician’s office and provide patients with access to tools and resources that can improve their lives on a daily basis."
