PatientPoint Names Industry Leader Traver Hutchins as Chief Growth Officer

Point-of-care trailblazer adds unparalleled experience to PatientPoint

CINCINNATI —PatientPoint®,the trusted leader in patient and physician education and engagement solutions across all points of care, has named Traver Hutchins to the newly created role of Chief Growth Officer. Hutchins is a known leader in the point of care (POC) industry with a history of demonstrated success building healthcare media and services businesses.

At PatientPoint, Hutchins joins forces with CEO Mike Collette, himself a recognized innovator in the POC industry. He will assist Collette and the company’s senior leadership team in developing a long-term growth plan and product roadmap for PatientPoint while also spearheading the company’s mergers and acquisitions efforts.

Hutchins comes to PatientPoint with a long history of successful entrepreneurship. In 1994, Hutchins founded Remedy Health Media (originally called MediZine), and set into motion many of the practices that have become hallmarks of the industry, such as the grouping of condition-specific consumer health education with targeted sponsor messaging. Like PatientPoint, Hutchins embraced the notion that the best educational programs can definitively move market share and deliver confirmed product lift.

In 2011, Hutchins returned to his startup roots and built an urgent care chain from concept to reality. In just five months, he was able to deliver four centers with a team of 40 healthcare professionals.

Hutchins has also been on his own health journey, having been diagnosed with the blood cancer multiple myeloma in 2008. This experience has strengthened his belief in the power of PatientPoint to positively impact people’s lives. “In so many ways, we are poised to play a greater role in a patient’s pathway to health,” Hutchins says.

Hutchins sees his role as Chief Growth Officer as a direct extension of his experience as both a POC innovator and a patient. “I embody what this company is about,” he says. “I have a unique opportunity and responsibility to use my background and skillset to help find new ways to create value for our partners and enrich the patient experience.”
