Program Enables The Veteran Group to Compete for Contracts to Offer PatientPoint Platform to Veterans Affairs, Federal Healthcare Providers
CINCINNATI and ARLINGTON, VA – Just weeks after announcing their partnership, PatientPoint® and The Veteran Group today announced that they have been accepted to the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) all small mentor-protégé program. Program membership enables The Veteran Group to compete for government contracts to offer PatientPoint education and engagement solutions to Veterans Affairs (VA) and other federal healthcare provider facilities.
PatientPoint is the trusted leader in patient and physician engagement solutions and utilizes digital signage, interactive touchscreens and other platforms to educate, inform and improve communication between healthcare providers and patients. By the end of 2018, PatientPoint programs are on track to impact patient-physician discussions in more than 51,000 physician offices and 1,000 hospitals nationwide. The Veteran Group is a VA-certified, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business that provides federal information technology and business management consulting and solutions.
The acceptance of PatientPoint and The Veteran Group into the prestigious mentor-protégé program marks a critical step for both organizations toward accomplishing their goal of enriching the veteran care experience.
“We entered into this partnership with The Veteran Group with one goal in mind: to make every veteran-physician interaction better,” said Chris Martini, president, hospital, and chief provider officer for PatientPoint. “Acceptance into this prestigious federal program takes us one step closer to bringing a revolutionized care experience to veterans through veterans.”
Over their three-year membership in the mentor-protégé program, PatientPoint will guide The Veteran Group in management, contracting, business development and general administration/technical matters while The Veteran Group offers PatientPoint solutions to the VA and other federal healthcare providers.
Participation in the program enables PatientPoint and The Veteran Group to be recognized as one federally vetted organization offering proven technology to improve veteran care.
“Being part of the all small business mentor-protégé program not only validates and strengthens our partnership with PatientPoint but also helps our Service Disabled Veteran Owned small business become a better federal contractor,” said Larry Carver, CEO of The Veteran Group. “Together with PatientPoint we look forward to bringing unique solutions forward that can help transform how veterans receive care.”
